I am drawn to the solitude and activity of landscape. The pause and intimacy to painting place.
This attention in observing has led me to consider poetry as a way to understand my painting practice.

Bio
Kelsey Shearron Windham is currently an adjunct professor for Middle Tennessee State University & Motlow Community College. Windham earned the Bachelors of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in drawing from Memphis College of Art in 2011. In 2010 she was awarded the Hohenberg Fellowship to study painting in Umbria, Italy and participated in a group show there. In 2014 she was awarded a Graduate Council Fellowship from the University of Alabama. She was listed among Southern Living’s The Daily South’s “Southern Artists to Follow on Instagram Now” in 2016. In January 2016, she presented her solo MA exhibition, Stands In Solitude, in the Sella-Granata Art Gallery in Tuscaloosa, AL and in 2017 her solo MFA exhibition, Walked and Waited.
